Role Overview:
As the KYC Analyst, you will be a key member of the KYC team responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer due diligence reviews, and ensuring compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols. Your expertise in assessing customer profiles, systems and customer risking will play a crucial role in identifying and preventing financial crimes, thereby safeguarding the interests of our customer and Guavapay.
Key Responsibilities:
- KYC Onboarding: Perform KYC onboarding reviews for customers seeking various Guavapay products and services, following internal processes to identify and verify new applications, for both individuals and businesses. Additionally, demonstrate knowledge of customer types and suitable due diligence requirements.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on analysis of customer profiles and potential risk.
- Ongoing Monitoring: Perform ongoing monitoring and KYC refresh on customers, based on the risks presented.
- Customer Support: Respond to and assist with customer support queries in a timely manner.
- Customer Screening: Conduct PEP, Sanction and negative news searches as part of a comprehensive KYC/KYB process.
- Process Improvement: Assist management with KYC process improvements, including examining systems and processes to identify potential improvements and new efficiencies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- AML / KYC / CDD experience in customer onboarding, periodic reviews, and customer risk assessments.
- Understanding of the UK and International KYC/AML rules and regulations.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in FinTech or/and Financial Institutions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in conducting KYC and KYB of low, medium, and high-risk clients.
- Experience in identifying direct and indirect UBOs.
- Experience in identifying complex business structures.
- Time-management skills to work under pressure and meet deadlines and SLAs.
- Proactive thinking and ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Provide support to wider Compliance team, as required.
