Senior Linux Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Administrator to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our Linux-based systems. You will work on automating processes, improving system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support our growing infrastructure. This is a key technical position for someone passionate about Linux, automation, and delivering high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Ensure high availability and performance of critical infrastructure.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Perform system monitoring, backup/restore, patching, and upgrades.
• Implement and maintain security best practices (firewall, SELinux, system hardening).
• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Development teams on infrastructure planning and improvements.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Linux system administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, filesystems, networking, and shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM).
• Solid understanding of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.).
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:
Relevant certifications (RHCE, LFCS, etc.).
Experience in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Exposure to security auditing and compliance frameworks.
