Role Overview:

We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Video Content Creator (vertical format) to join our Social Media team in London. As a key player in our marketing team, you’ll lead the charge in producing captivating vertical videos that engage our audience and elevate our brand across social media platforms.
As a core member of our social media team, your mission is to develop compelling video narratives—both short and long-form—that resonate with our community, drive engagement, and enhance MyGuava’s online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and distribution of vertical video content for our TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts channels.
• Manage the entire video production process from brainstorming ideas to publishing, with support for editing. (But should have experience editing).
• Produce a high volume of engaging, social-first vertical content designed to maximize reach and interaction.
• Innovate short-form content ideas, ensuring we deliver captivating and shareable videos that engage our audience.
• Demonstrate versatility by creating diverse content styles, from trending formats to educational clips, behind-the-scenes insights, vox pops, and user-generated content.
• Work closely with the Social Media team to ensure video content aligns with our broader social media strategies and campaigns.
• Stay ahead of platform-specific trends and algorithm updates to optimize our content for maximum visibility and engagement.
• Regularly coordinate with the Social media team for brand consistency and explore cross-platform content opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven success as a content creator with a strong personal brand and engaged following on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
• 3+ years of professional experience in creating viral or highly engaging content, or 5+ years of independent content creation success.
• Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other vertical content platforms, with an eye for what makes content shareable.
• Expertise in TikTok editing (Capcut), proficiency in mobile editing, and working knowledge of Adobe Suite. Familiarity with design tools like Figma is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret engagement metrics and adjust content strategies accordingly.
• Exceptional creativity to translate complex financial concepts into engaging and easy-to-understand video content.
• Agility to quickly respond to trending topics and create timely, relevant content.
• Collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills to work effectively with various teams.
• Willingness to appear on camera and potentially become the face of some of our content.
